Usman Abdallah has left his post as head coach of Nigeria Professional Football League side Katsina United.

Abdallah guided the Chanji Boys to NPFL promotion in Asaba last month.

The management of the club decided not to renew his contract.

Abdallah, who is also one of the assistant coaches to Super Eagles handler Jose Peseiro, was appointed in May last year.

The 49-year-old has previously managed Kano Pillars and Enyimba.

Katsina United is expected to appoint a new coach soon.

The 2023–24 Nigeria Professional Football League season will commence on Saturday, August 26.
