Cremonese manager Massimiliano Alvini is disappointed his top striker, Cyriel Dessers, won’t play a part in Saturday’s (today's) Serie A clash against Salernitana.
The Nigerian international has already been ruled out of the encounter billed for the Stadio Arechi due to a muscle injury.
Dessers left the pitch early during Cremonese’s 0-0 home draw against Udinese last weekend.
The 27-year-old was replaced by Cristain Buonaiuto in the 24th minute.
“We will have to play to get the best result against Salernitana, but it is, however, so sad that there will be no Cyriel Dessers; that is a serious problem we will have to evaluate,” Alvini told a press conference.
He has scored two goals in 14 league appearances for Cremonese this season.
