Following the reported agreements of N'Golo Kanté and Hakim Ziyech, Édouard Mendy has become the third Chelsea player to have allegedly agreed on personal terms with a club in the Saudi Pro League.

This trend is expected to continue with the anticipated transfers of Kalidou Koulibaly and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, although Romelu Lukaku is not included in this list.

Mendy's reported destination is Al Ahli, with the deal said to span three years, according to reliable journalist Fabrizio Romano.

Kanté, on the other hand, is reportedly heading to champions Al Ittihad, while Ziyech is set to join Al Nassr, the team led by Cristiano Ronaldo and finishing in second place.

No details have emerged regarding the transfer fees involved, but according to the Telegraph, Chelsea is anticipating receiving a combined sum of "upwards of £50 million" for all these transfers with the SPL.

Notably, Kanté's move is expected to be a free transfer as his contract with Chelsea expires at the end of the month.

During the remarkable Champions League-winning 2020–21 season, Édouard Mendy played a crucial role and displayed exceptional performances.

However, his form experienced a decline in 2022, resulting in a lower position in the pecking order. As a result, Kepa Arrizabalaga reclaimed the starting goalkeeper position for Chelsea last season.

And it sounds like Kepa might get a chance to keep his spot under Pochettino as well. But that’s a topic for another day.
