Former Manchester United star Dwight Yorke has expressed his concerns about the upcoming FA Cup final showdown between Manchester United and Manchester City.
The highly anticipated match will take place at Wembley Stadium this Saturday afternoon, and Yorke is worried that his former team might suffer a heavy defeat at the hands of Pep Guardiola’s squad.
Yorke, speaking to Crypto Casino, highlighted his skepticism about United’s defensive capabilities. Reflecting on last year’s final, which City won 2-1, he fears a repeat performance could see United overwhelmed by the Premier League champions.
“They need everything to go their way to have any chance of lifting the trophy,” Yorke stated. “United must play an unbelievable game, capitalize on all opportunities, and hope for favorable circumstances throughout the match. The odds are against them, and it could end in an embarrassing scoreline. However, there’s always a chance they could turn the tables and secure a surprise victory.”
With the odds stacked against Manchester United, fans are eager to see if they can defy expectations and clinch the FA Cup title.
