Rasheedat Ajibade, a star for Atletico Madrid, has been selected as the Super Falcons' captain for the friendly match against Japan.

In place of Onome Ebi, the team's regular captain, head coach Randy Waldrum chose the winger to serve as captain.

Ajibade will support Uchenna Kanu and Ifeoma Onumonu in the team’s attack.

Reliable goalkeeper, Chiamaka Nnadozie, kept her position in goal from the previous two friendlies against the United States of America.

Michelle Alozie, Ashleigh Plumptre, Osinachi Ohale, and Glory Ogbonna will line up in defence.

The trio of Ngozi Okobi-Okeoghene, Christy Ucheibe and Deborah Abiodun will operate in midfield.
