Former Chelsea player Frank Leboeuf has told the club to sign a new central midfielder in the person of West Ham’s Declan Rice.
Chelsea are unbeaten under Graham Potter, climbing to fifth in the Premier League and top of Champions League Group E.
But former Blues star Leboeuf believes the club needs a new central midfielder to replace the injured N’Golo Kante.
Leboeuf said he "gets goosebumps" thinking about Rice at the west London outfit.
Speaking with FairBettingSites, the former Chelsea defender noted that the area Graham Potter’s side needs to boost is the central midfield.
N’Golo Kante has rejected a new deal at Stamford Bridge and has missed so many matches this season due to injury.
The France international has been ruled out for four months, and Jorginho has been accused of not being defensively-minded.
Declan Rice is the one for me. It would be very, very interesting if Kante left. I would love to see them go and get Rice from West Ham, "Leboeuf added.
“I get goosebumps thinking of Mason Mount and Declan Rice playing together at Chelsea because they are academy graduates and that’s what fans want to see.”
