The racism directed at Vinicius of Real Madrid has been addressed by Pedro Sanchez, the prime minister of Spain.

Vinicius was recently the target of a racist attack on Sunday during the La Liga match between Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid.

Recall that on Sunday night at the Civitas Metropolitano, Atletico Madrid supporters yelled out loudly and repeatedly, calling Vinicius a monkey.

LaLiga later announced that they were looking into the incident, and Atletico Madrid issued a statement denouncing the behavior and saying they had instructed the law enforcement to find the offenders so they could take action against them.

Speaking about the news from New York regarding NATO business, Sanchez said that as a huge Atletico Madrid fan, he was anticipating firm action from Los Colchoneros.

“I am a great follower of Atletico Madrid, so I was very sad,” Sanchez told Mundo Deportivo.

“I expected a strong message from the clubs against these types of behaviour. And this is what I will ask for from my team. "
