Juventus has arranged additional talks with Paul Pogba's agent in the next few days to finalize the final terms.
The Manchester United player will return to the Italian club, earning an annual salary of eight million euros plus bonuses. Both parties are also expected to strike a long-term agreement.
The likelihood of Paul Pogba returning to Juventus is increasing. Especially when Real Madrid denied having approached the 29-year-old midfielder, therefore clearing the way for the Italian club.
The focus of "Los Blancos" is on Aurelien Tchouameni, a 22-year-old Monaco midfielder with whom they hope to secure an agreement for next season.
That is why Juve have everything in place to bring Pogba back to Turin six years later, after six long seasons in which the French international has been in the colours of Manchester United, for whom he has played 233 official matches, scored 40 goals and provided 47 assists.
Pogba's contract with Manchester United expires this summer, meaning Juventus will not have to pay a fee to recruit the highly rated French international, but they will have to persuade him to drop his salary in half.
In other words, Pogba's annual salary in Turin will be less than half of what he earned in Manchester. According to Fabrizio Romano, a market expert, both parties are currently negotiating the terms of the new contract, which already includes the 8 million euros net each season guaranteed income plus bonuses.
Furthermore, the aforementioned source mentions a potential long-term contract, implying that Pogba's new contract with his previous club will be extended for a few years.
