A man of Kenyan nationality has emerged the winner in the just concluded Onitsha Marathon.



Bernard Sang from Kenya crossed the finish line to emerge the winner of the first IAAF and AIMS 21km marathon in Nigeria termed Onitsha city marathon. This followed a stiff competition from so many runners from different countries across Africa. Bernard said it was really a dream come true for him to win the trophy and stated that he will use this particular win as platform to achieve greater heights. Other competitors who spoke to our reporters stated how glad they are to take part in the race. They encouraged the organizers to be putting such thing in place every year as it will help discover some potentials in Africa.
