Paris Saint-Germain superstar Kylian Mbappe has asked the French capital city club to extend Sergio Ramos’ contract.
El Nacional reports that the Frenchman was promised a major say in the club’s decisions to sell or buy players.
This was one of the promises made to him before he signed a new three-year deal with PSG in May last year.
Mbappe believes that Ramos is an integral part of the project at the club.
Ramos is out of contract this summer and there have been strong speculations that the former Spain international’s deal won’t be renewed by the Parisians.
But Eduardo Inda from the Spanish show Chiringuito de Jugones reports that Ramos believes in Mbappe, who has asked the club to extend the former Real Madrid man’s stay.
“Sergio has been negotiating his continuity for one more year with the Parisian team. They want to lower his contract. I already explained that Luis Campos warned about 50%.
“Mbappe has thrown a spear in favour of Ramos because he believes he is one of the few signings who has shown commitment to the club,” the report said.
Ramos joined PSG in 2021 and has featured in 54 games across competitions, scoring five times.
