Mason Greenwood will not be allowed to join the rest of the Manchester United squad for preseason, according to Sky Sports.
However, the Premier League club will decide on Greenwood’s future before the new season kicks off.
But for now, the 21-year-old is still suspended from training and matches.
In February this year, the Crown Prosecution Service discontinued its case against Greenwood for attempted rape, engaging in controlling and coercive behavior, and assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
United had already announced on January 30, 2022, that the player would not return to training or play any matches “until further notice.”
Nike also suspended and later terminated its sponsorship deal with Greenwood, while Electronic Arts confirmed he had been removed from active squads for its FIFA 22 game.
