Manchester City legend Richard Dunne believes Nigeria forward Emmanuel Dennis will be a good addition to the Aston Villa squad.
Dennis has been linked with a move away from Watford following the Hornets’ relegation from the Premier League.
The 23-year-old scored 10 goals and recorded six assists in 33 league appearances for Watford last season.
West Ham United are rumoured to have a strong interest in Dennis, but Dunne has urged Aston Villa to sign the versatile striker.
“I’m sure clubs will start looking at Tarkowski from Burnley and Dennis from Watford now that they have gone down." "They would benefit a few teams in Villa’s area,” Dunne told the Birmingham Mail.
“They need another attacking player to give them more options up top and another central midfielder." They aren’t crying out for someone in any position, but they are looking for that next level of player to push them up the league. They have a decently strong squad.
Dennis only linked up with Watford from Belgian Pro League side, Club Brugge, last summer.
Watford will demand around £20m from any potential suitors.
