Lionel Messi surpasses stiff competition from premier league top goal scorer, Mohammed Sallah and Harry Kane to win the award. He played his last game on Sunday night, although coming in as a substitute and didn't grab a goal, but he has done much of the work before the last game, netting 34 goals ahead of Sallah's 32goals. This makes him clinch his 5th Golden shoe, ahead of his arc rival, Cristiano Ronaldo. He had previously won the La liga player for the month of April.
