Brighton midfielder Moises Caicedo is attempting to force through a move to Chelsea this summer transfer window after missing training with Brighton on Monday.
Caicedo was absent for Brighton’s final pre-season tie against Rayo Vallecano on Sunday, with the club claiming that the Ecuador international was sidelined due to a hamstring injury.
Chelsea, meanwhile, have seen multiple offers rejected by Brighton for Caicedo, including a bid of £80 million that was turned down last week.
According to Relevo, Caicedo is hoping to help push through a move to the Blues this week by missing Monday’s training session.
The report added that Caicedo has also removed his belongings from Brighton’s training ground.
Brighton, however, are adamant that the 21-year-old will not be allowed to leave the club unless their £100m asking price is met.
The seagulls believe that their midfielder should command a similar fee to the £105m Arsenal paid to sign Declan Rice from West Ham this summer.
