After seven months that he got suspended and sacked by Boston, the Nigerian-born Basketball coach, Ime Udoka has been appointed as the head coach of New Houston.

The former Boston Celtics coach was suspended for a full year, banning the coach who led them to the NBA Finals last spring for the entire 2022-23 season over what two people with knowledge of the matter said was an improper relationship with a member of the organization.

Ime Udoka has agreed to a deal to become the next Houston Rockets coach.

The Rockets probed the circumstances around Udoka’s Celtics departure with the team and league office, sources said. Udoka .

Udoka hails from Akwa-Ibom state in Nigeria.
