Victor Osimhen has been nominated for the UEFA Champions League Player of the Week award.

Osimhen, 24, scored twice in Napoli’s 3-0 drubbing of Bundesliga outfit Eintracht Frankfurt at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium on Wednesday night.

The Nigerian has scored four goals in five outings in the competition for the Partenopei this season.

Osimhen was named Man of the Match after the game.

Manchester City forward Erling Haaland is also in the running for the individual accolade.

Haaland scored five goals in City’s 7-0 rout of RB Leipzig on Tuesday night.

Real Madrid’s Karim Benzema and AC Milan midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu are the two other players nominated.
