Chelsea co-owner Todd Boehly has sacked Jason Griffin after 30 years at the club.
Boehly also fired Griffin’s assistant and son, Reisse.
Griffin, since 2003, has led a team of more than 10 people, including his son, who are responsible for maintaining the pitches at Stamford Bridge, the Cobham training ground, and Kingsmeadow, respectively, the homes of the Blues’ women’s and youth teams.
According to the Daily Mail, Chelsea will not comment on their departures.
But it appears to be part of a wider overhaul of staff that is being pushed by Boehly since his takeover last summer.
