Premier League club Brighton & Hove Albion have confirmed the signing of goalkeeper Bart Verbruggen from Belgian Pro League side Anderlecht.
The 20-year-old penned a five-year deal with the Seagulls.
In a tweet on Monday, the club wrote, “We’re delighted to announce the signing of goalkeeper Bart Verbruggen from Anderlecht on a five-year contract until June 2028.”
Verbruggen’s arrived at The Amex for a fee of £16.3 million.
The Dutch goalkeeper was named the Belgian club’s 2022–23 player of the season.
Verburggen becomes Brighton’s fourth major signing of the summer, following Brazil forward Joao Pedro from Watford, Liverpool’s James Milner, and Germany midfielder Mahmoud Dahoud from Borussia Dortmund.
