Yasser Al-Misehal, the president of the Saudi Arabian Football Federation, stated that his nation would adore having a player of Cristiano Ronaldo's stature play for one of their domestic clubs.
The 37-year-old Portugal international reportedly told the Red Devils hierarchy over the summer that he wanted to leave Old Trafford, and despite Jorge Mendes' efforts to make the superstar's dreams come true, they were unsuccessful in locating a suitable location.
The legendary scorer wanted to join a Champions League squad, but United didn't make it into the top European league.
However, the 37-year-old turned down offers from Al-Hilal and Al-Nassr, rival clubs from the Saudi Pro League.
According to Al-Misehal, "We would love to see a player like Cristiano Ronaldo playing in the Saudi league."
It would generate a ton of positive feedback and be major news for everyone.
