Scottish giants Rangers have become the worst-ever team in Champions League history.
This was after the Scottish Premier League side were beaten 3-1 by Ajax on Tuesday evening.
The result cemented their place at the bottom of the table in Group A with no points and a goal difference of -20.
Rangers, last season’s Europa League finalists, scored just once in six games in the Champions League.
They recorded the worst group stage performance by any club since the Champions League was rebranded in 1992.
This record was held by Croatian side Dinamo Zagreb, who finished bottom of their group with no points and a -19 goal difference in 2011/12.
Viktoria Plzen also equaled Dinamo Zagreb’s record on Tuesday evening as they finished bottom of Group C with a goal difference of -19.
