Croatia midfielder Ivan Rakitic has told PSG superstar Lionel Messi to snub his purported return to Barcelona and join him at Sevilla.
According to him, the Argentine should be running to Andalusia immediately if he wants to enjoy life because no other city would provide him with better treatment.
Rakitic, who was Messi’s teammate for many successful years at Barcelona, also added that Seville would give Messi a flat next to La Catedral, the most famous tourist attraction in Seville.
Messi has reportedly rejected a new contract at Parc des Princes, with his current deal expiring in June.
The 7-time Ballon d’Or winner is attracting interest from clubs in Europe, America, and Asia, but his immediate former club Barcelona have revealed that they have held talks with Messi’s camp over a possible summer transfer.
Saudi Arabian club Al-Hilal have reportedly offered him a whopping €400 million annual contract.
Rakitic told Diario AS, “I wish [Messi] came here [to Seville]. If Messi wants to enjoy football, life, and the city, he will end up in Seville this afternoon. He won’t be better off anywhere else.
