Former Tottenham star, Jamie O'Hara, has slammed Cristiano Ronaldo over his unprofessional conduct in Manchester United’s 2-0 victory over Tottenham.
Ronaldo made an early exit down the tunnel at Old Trafford after he was dropped to the bench for the entire game.
The 37-year-old made his way back to the dressing room before full-time after failing to come off the bench.
Cameras spotted the iconic goalscorer trudging down the tunnel late, with Fred and Bruno Fernandes getting the goals.
And O’Hara labelled the Portugal international as a ‘disgrace’, saying, “Ronaldo walks down the tunnel in the 89th minute – it’s a disgrace!” He told talkSPORT.
O’Hara feels that last night’s display was the best performance of the season for the Red Devils so far, wondering why Ronaldo should behave the way he did.
And the tunnel at Old Trafford is not right by the dugout; you’ve got to walk the length of the pitch, almost. How disrespectful is that to your teammates?” The former Premier League star added
“It’s not good enough, especially on a night like tonight—it’s a big result for Manchester United.”
Ronaldo, who scored 24 goals for the Red Devils in all competitions last season, has found the back of the net just twice for Manchester United this season, mostly due to his lack of playing time.
He has been reduced to a bench role under Ten Hag, a role he has vehemently rejected, but the Dutch coach has made it clear he is building a team for the future.
