It was a glorious moment early this week for the vice-chancellor of the Ekiti State University (EKSU) Edward Olanipekun as one of his sons graduated from the University of Oxford.

Oxford varsity in the United Kingdom is regarded as one of the leading academic institutions in the world.
Tom Olanipekun, a relative of the family, took to social media to share photos from the graduation ceremony in the UK.
It is worthy of note that Olanipekun became the VC of EKSU after Kayode Fayemi, the Ekiti state governor, approved his appointment in 2019.
He is a professor of chemistry and a former dean, school of postgraduate studies of the varsity.
