Nollywood actress Angela Okorie has called out Grammy-winning singer Burna Boy for allegedly failing to fulfill his promise of buying a Lamborghini for socialite Sophia Egbueje after a one-night stand.
In a recently leaked audio conversation, Sophia accused Burna Boy of reneging on his promise after their alleged encounter. Reacting to the controversy, Okorie criticized the singer, stating that he took advantage of the socialite despite her being upfront about her "price."
Sharing her thoughts in a video on Instagram, the actress emphasized that as a global superstar, Burna Boy should set a better example. She argued that many people look up to him, and he should use his influence to help those in need instead of exploiting them.
“This is the worst thing any celebrity can do," Okorie said. "God made you a mega superstar for a reason—to be a voice for those who cannot speak and to help those in need. That girl [Sophia] clearly needs help, but instead of supporting her, you took advantage of her because she named her price.”
She further defended Sophia, stating, “People criticizing her for demanding a Lamborghini are not being fair. She knows her worth and made it clear—if you can afford her price, then you can be with her. But you, as a public figure, chose to take advantage instead of leading by example.”
Angela Okorie’s bold remarks have sparked widespread reactions, reigniting conversations about celebrity responsibility, accountability, and respect in relationships.
