Nigerian afrobeat musician and songwriter Adekunle Almoruf Kosoko, better known by his stage name Adekunle Gold, has claimed that President Muhammadu Buhari's administration is to blame for the country's problems.
This comes after Nollywood actress Omotola Jalade bemoaned the suffering of Nigerians a few days prior.
The "It is what it is" crooner, however, claimed that the Buhari-led administration had accomplished nothing other than wasting eight years of Nigerians' lives.
Adekunle Gold claimed in a tweet that since the Buhari administration took office in 2015, the nation has been regressing.
"Eight years of our lives were wasted by the current administration." He claimed that after eight years, "as a country, we regressed."
Adekunkle Gold told his fans that he was born with sickle cell disease in 2022. He also said that at the age of 20, he begged God to take his life because of the unbearable situation.
The singer is currently wed to Simisola, one of the best vocalists in Nigeria, and they have a daughter together.
