Nigerian music sensation, Ayodeji Balogun, better known as Wizkid, has announced his decision to temporarily step away from the music industry.

This revelation was made through a series of Instagram posts on Sunday.

Wizkid shared that he plans to take a hiatus lasting either four or five years from the music scene, stating, "I'll be back in four years, so you can enjoy the money I've made, or maybe five, or I might even take up activities like playing football, golf, FIFA, or wrestling, who knows!"

He humorously added, "You're all crazy! Everyone's gone insane. On a serious note, I hope all of you are well, both physically and mentally, and are taking time to enjoy moments with your loved ones."

Wizkid's decision comes in the wake of the recent cancellation of some of his music performances due to the loss of his mother.
