Later this month, the third mini-album from the K-pop girl group Billlie, titled "the Billage of perception: chapter two," will be released.
On August 16 at 12 a.m. KST, Billlie released the first teaser poster for the forthcoming album along with the record's official release date. On August 31 at 6 PM KST, their new mini-album, The Billage of Perception: Chapter Two, will be released.
The seven-member act's agency, Mystic Story, first revealed the news of their upcoming comeback on August 8. They added that the record was then in its "final stages" and that the seven-member act would be making a comeback later in the month.
The upcoming record, according to a Mystic Story representative, will continue the plot of their November 2021 debut mini-album, "the Billage of Perception: Chapter One," per Newsen.
Last month, Billlie released the digital single album "track by YOON: Patbingsu," which was highlighted by a remake of Patbingsu by Yoon Jong-shin, the singer and founder of Mystic Story.
One B-side from Yoon's song with the same name, "Highway Romance," was also included in the release. Both songs were first made available in 2001 as a part of his studio album "Shade."
In February, Billlie released their sophomore mini-album 'the collective soul and unconscious: chapter one’. Shortly after its release, a fancam of member Tsuki performing to the title track "GingaMingaYo (the Strange World")" went viral due to her wild, quick-changing facial expressions, which earned the praise of K-pop fans both domestically and overseas.
The song made it to NME’s list of the 15 best K-pop songs of 2022 so far, where it was hailed as “a much-needed shot of pure dopamine in an era that seems to favour bare-boned anti-drops.”
