In congratulating Tems on her Grammy victory, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu has joined other Nigerians and famous people from other countries.

The APC presidential candidate congratulated the Nigerian singer on Twitter using his official account. Tems was nominated for three Grammys in 2023 (Best Rap Song, Best Melodic Rap Performance for Future's "Wait For U," and as a featured artist on Beyonce's nominated "Renaissance" album for Album of the Year).

Following her victory with "Wait For U" in the Best Melodic Rap Song category, Tems became the first female Afrobeats artist from Nigeria to receive a Grammy honor. Tiwa Savage, Omawumi, and Waje, three prominent female Afrobeats artists, congratulated her on Instagram.

Bola Ahmed Tinubu also joined the joyful celebration. In his words;

‘I join other Nigerians in congratulating Temilade Openiyi aka Tems @temsbaby on winning the Grammy award in the Best Melodic Rap Performance category for her contribution to the hit song “Wait for U” – featuring Future and Drake.’
