Abdullahi Maruff Adisa, better known by his stage name Trinityguy, was remanded in custody by the Oyo State Magistrate Court in Iyaganku, Ibadan, for allegedly sexually harassing a minor in his widely popular skit video.

According to The Daily Post, the Nigeria Police Public Relations Officer, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, had last week demanded the skit creator's arrest in response to a viral video of his risky practical jokes.

The creator of the skit and the parent of the young girl featured in the popular video were questioned by the Oyo State Police Command, according to a statement released on Friday, and they would appear in court on Monday, June 26, 2023.

Oludare Adebayo appeared before the Magistrate's Court on behalf of the defendant and pleaded for the court to release his client on bail.

While rejecting the bail request, Magistrate PO Adetuyibi stated that the state ministry of justice is currently looking into the allegations against the skit maker.

The court, however, ordered that the parents of the little girl in the video be remanded along with Trinityguy till the next sitting.

Magistrate Adetuyibi therefore adjourned until July 11.
