Buju, now known as BNXN, a Nigerian artist, has made a veiled dig at his previous label boss, Burna Boy.

He took to Twitter to say that since leaving Burna Boy, he has been happy and growing. He claims God has been gracious to him and benefited him since he became self-sufficient.

Buju's followers on Twitter criticized him for saying "God has rewarded me tenfold since I became independent." They inquired as to why he stated something implying Burna Boy was detrimental to his career. Others wished Buju well on his next endeavor and congratulated him on his great break.

Buju got signed to Spaceship Records in 2020 and released the Lenu Remix featuring Burna Boy. However, Buju, for yet to be disclosed reasons, left after a year of being under Burna Boy.
