Veteran singer and activist, Charles Oputa, popularly known as Charly Boy, has urged Nigerian celebrities to stop making their private lives public.

Reacting to the ongoing marital crisis between 2Baba and Annie Idibia, Charly Boy emphasized the importance of keeping personal issues away from social media during a recent interview with TVC.

"Keep Your Business Private" – Charly Boy

Expressing sympathy for the couple, he stated:

“I feel sorry for 2Face and Annie Idibia. It’s unfortunate. But my advice is simple—can we just keep our private business away from the public?”

He pointed out that while social media has transformed how people interact, celebrities still have the choice to keep their personal affairs out of the spotlight.

“I’m not speaking as a saint. I have had disagreements with my wife, but we settle them privately. You don’t bring personal issues to the public to resolve—it’s wrong.”

"If I Divorce My Wife, Nobody Would Know"

The outspoken entertainer further boasted that if he ever decided to leave his wife, it would remain a secret.

“If I were to stop living with my wife today, nobody would know. I won’t make noise about it.”

Charly Boy’s statement serves as a caution to celebrities who frequently share their relationship struggles online, reminding them that discretion is key in maintaining peace and dignity.
