Big Brother Naija season 5 alumni, Erica Nlewedim, has opened up about her mental health struggles towards the end of the Big Brother Naija show.



It will be recalled that Erica’s time on the show was cut short due to her disqualification.

The actress and reality TV star has now opened up about her mental health status during an interview with media personality Chude Jide-Onwo.

Well, because of my mental health, when I was in the house, towards the end of my stay I was getting really sad, like I wasn’t smiling anymore, I was not happy.
Then, coming out in that shocking way, coming to face the world and hearing all the things people had to say about me, seeing all the love, knowing that oh I have a new... It was just a lot of things to take in at the same time.
plus knowing that my life has changed. I’m just trying to adjust to so many things, so I needed that time. I didn’t want to just be overwhelmed and have a breakdown or something. That was the best thing.
