Falz, a Nigerian artist, has responded to CBN Governor Mr.

Emefiele's appeal to continue as CBN Governor while running for President in 2023.

According to Falz, it is difficult to imagine that Godwin Emefiele wrote to the court pleading for him to stay on as CBN Governor while still running for President in 2023. He went on to say that one of the reasons the country hasn't progressed is because our leaders are greedy.

After much speculation and speculation, Emefiele finally declared his intention to run for President in 2023 on Saturday, May 7. His announcement sparked outrage, with many urging him to retire if he wanted to run for president.

Godwin Emefiele asked a court to declare that he could contest for the presidential ticket of any political party and that INEC should permit him while he continues to sit as the Governor of CBN. The Federal Court rejected Emefiele’s request to stop INEC from disqualifying him for the 2023 election.
