The cover was performed by Cabbage 'N Mash, a collaboration between director Bob Hannam and Melvins' Dale Crover.
They also included keyboardist Toshi Kasai, bassist Glen Matlock of the Sex Pistols, and drummer Clem Burke of Blondie.
According to Consequence, Crover, who primarily plays drums with the Melvins, is responsible for playing guitar on the cover. Lead vocals are performed by Hannam, who also directed the documentary The Colossus of Destiny - A Melvins Tale.
The band's love for the Small Faces, a British rock group from the 1960s later led by Rod Stewart as the Faces, was the inspiration for Crover and Hannam's collaboration.
"Song Of A Baker" was featured on the Small Faces’ third album, "Ogdens’ Nut Gone Flake", which was released in 1968.
