Popular Nollywood actor, Odunlade Adekola, has addressed the recent controversy surrounding his viral video with singer Portable’s baby mama, Ashabi Simple.

The incident unfolded after a clip surfaced showing Ashabi hugging Odunlade on a movie set. In the video, the actor jokingly asked if she had taken permission from Portable before hugging him.

This remark didn’t sit well with Portable, who took to Odunlade’s DM to express his displeasure. The singer questioned the intent behind the actor’s comment and issued a warning against disrespecting his family.

In response, Odunlade Adekola clarified that his statement was not meant to offend or mock Portable or his family. The actor responded politely:

"My brother, good evening. I’m just seeing this. I love you, and I think you know that. I can never disrespect you or your home. Your family is my family."

Portable, appreciating the respectful response, replied:

"I respect you, boss. I really appreciate you. God bless you."

The exchange has since ended on a positive note, with both celebrities maintaining mutual respect.
