The Practitioners of Content Creating, Skit-making, and Influencers Guild (PCCSIGN) has addressed Multichoice Nigeria regarding the unsettled debt owed to ijeoma Josephina Otabor, popularly known as Phyna, who emerged as the winner of Season 7 of the Big Brother Naija reality show.
In a letter shared via PCCSIGN's Instagram page, the guild highlighted Phyna's outstanding prizes from two years ago, emphasizing the importance of fulfilling commitments made by sponsors.
According to the letter, Phyna is owed by Quidax Global, Seven-Up Bottling Company (Pepsi), Travelbeta, and Evans Industries (Unik Soap), including 1BTC valued at $70,052.00, a year's supply of Pepsi products, a trip for two to Dubai, and a year's supply of soap products, respectively.
PCCSIGN urged Multichoice to intervene and facilitate the release of the prizes owed to Phyna by the mentioned brands. The guild emphasized that sponsors' failure to fulfill promised prizes not only reflects poorly on them but also undermines the integrity of the Big Brother Naija franchise.
Ensuring that sponsors honor their commitments is crucial for maintaining the credibility of the show and upholding the trust of the audience.
