More and more Nigerians today are accepting their responsibilities as traditional chiefs and taking the initiative to mediate conflicts between families in their communities.
One of them is Amuludun of Tigbo, Aworiland, Ogun State and Nigerian singer Habeeb Okikiola, also known as Portable.
Portable recently gained attention online when a video of him settling disputes between Aworiland indigenes began circulating. In the video, he could be seen wearing his chieftaincy cap and handling a matter of monetary importance with grace and assurance. This is just one example of how he is working to benefit his community and protect the citizens of Aworiland.
Portable was first conferred with this chieftaincy title back in August of last year and took to his Instagram page with photos and videos from his coronation. He was filled with pride and happiness, likely due to the long-standing tradition behind chieftaincy titles. Being conferred with such an honor is not something to be taken lightly. Since then, Portable has been showing his commitment to his role as Amuludun, making sure the people of his community are well taken care of.
He wrote; “Akoi AMULUDUN, Thank God for the blessings every day. Akoi Grace Omolalomi Badmus CEO Dr ZEH Nation Chief AMULUDUN Of TIGBO AWORI Land AMULUDUN Sebi Oba ZAzuu. Na GOD dey run am Thank GOD say man no be God”.
