Rema, the Prince of Afrobeat, has revealed why his debut album, Rave and Roses, did not include Wizkid, Davido, or Burna Boy.

After fans accused him of exclusively featuring international artists, the Bad Commando went live on Instagram to defend himself.

Rema claims that he exclusively highlighted performers with whom he was comfortable. He said that all of the artists included on Rave and Roses are his pals, including Chris Brown, 6lack, AJ Tracey, and Yseult.

Rema stated that he didn't want to highlight the afrobeat industry's big guns merely to make it appear as though they weren't fighting.

He stressed the fact that he always makes music with the folks with whom he hangs out.

Rema also emphasized that he didn't highlight international musicians since he didn't want to look at or cross borders.
