k.a. Davido, a Nigerian afro-pop artist, has elicited conflicting reactions from Nigerians and Ghanaians following his inclusion on the official soundtrack of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
With a tweet referencing the Super Eagles' inability to beat Ghana's Black Stars and qualify for the upcoming World Cup, the ace singer sparked varied reactions.
“No de wamba, we still qualify for las las.”
Many people were offended by his remark, particularly Ghanaian football supporters, who have since mocked Nigerians for their World Cup qualification, which came at Nigeria's expense.
A Nigerian user on the internet wrote:
