In a now-deleted post on X (formerly Twitter), Wizkid wrote, “Women inspire music! Gods on earth,” affirming the central role women play in shaping his artistry.

Famous for his romantic and soulful tracks, Wizkid continues to celebrate women through his music. His latest album, Morayo, is a heartfelt tribute to his late mother, Morayo Jane Balogun.

The album has shattered streaming records, amassing an impressive 48 million Spotify streams in just six days, breaking Tyla’s previous record of 46.4 million streams. Morayo also set a new benchmark for the biggest opening week for an African album on Spotify, with 52.8 million streams.

With Morayo, Wizkid solidifies his position as one of Africa’s most influential musicians, blending passion, dedication, and inspiration into a record-breaking masterpiece.
