Boxer Patrick Day aged 27 has died four days after sustaining a brain injury in a fight against Charles Conwell. The American was put in a coma on Saturday after he was knocked out in the 10th round of his super welterweight bout in Chicago. Day was taken from the ring on a stretcher after the conclusion of the fight.

Patrick's friends and family has been pouring their tributes for the young man and described his as a very dedicated and selfless sportsman and will surely be missed by anybody that have come across him. The family is yet to announce his burial rites as at the time of this report.
