A Nigerian man and his 37-year-old Cambodian based wife, have been arrested in Phnom Penh for their role in a romance scam.

The 48-year-old man and his wife were arrested by the specialized forces of the Anti-Technology Crime Department in cooperation with the Phnom Penh Municipal Police and the Phnom Penh Municipal Prosecutor’s Office.

The Anti-Technology Crime Department, said the suspects were involved in a case of love scam on the social network WhatsApp.

In a statement issued on Saturday, October 15, 2022, the suspects were said to have scammed several people of thousands of dollars through romance scam.

The detectives of the UK metropolitan police have arrested a Ghanaian yahoo boy for fraud totalling thousands of pounds. Naijacrawl reports. The police went to his apartment as early as 6AM today to pick him up. The suspects claimed he and his gang members have stolen hundreds of credit cards from their victims and already spent 350,000 pounds before they were busted.The suspect is being investigated and will be charged to court soon.
