Comrade Amitolu Shittu; Director-General of Osun division of the Western Nigeria Security Network codenamed Operation Amotekun has publicly made it known that over 13,000 people have showed interest through the application portal of the security network.



The DG made this known today (Wednesday) barely 13 days after the Governor of Osun state; Adegboyega Oyetola had June 15, directed that recruitment into the Amotekun Corps in the state should commence.

Meanwhile, the time limit for application which lapsed last Friday but was later extended till yesterday(Tuesday).

The would-be corps were told to apply online through: https://amotekunosun.org.ng/join-amotekun.

In a chat with a popular daily, Comrade Shittu said 13, 000 applications have been received and assured that the successful applicants would soon be shortlisted and subjected to other tests.
