Nigerian gospel music artist and minister of international renown, Dunsin Oyekan, celebrates his birthday today!
The “Imole De” crooner has been a blessing to the Nigerian gospel music industry and he is best known for his unique style of worship and live performance ministrations.
ABOUT DUNSIN OYEKAN
Dunsin Oyekan (born November 5, 1985) is a Nigerian contemporary Christian, singer-songwriter, producer, instrumentalist and recording artist popularly referred to as The Eagle. He is the convener of the Code Red Worship Experience.
Dunsin Oyekan is the only son of a Pastor father and a pioneer of the Pentecostal move in Nigeria, Gbadebo Oyekan.
He started singing and playing the guitar at age 10. He attended Airforce Nursery and Primary school Ilorin, Federal Government College Ilorin and Baptist Model High School Ilorin.
He thereafter proceeded to study Industrial Chemistry at the University of Ilorin, Kwara State,(better by far).
Oyekan attributes his love for music and songwriting to his father who also loved music and encouraged him to learn the guitar.
Dunsin Oyekan is a music producer and plays several musical instrument including guitar, keyboard and drums. He was the music director of the crystal award winning choir, The Avalanche of COZA for many years.
His debut album Code Red, a 14 track album was released in 2016 . He has over 30 songs to his credit including the popular hit ‘Na You’ which he featured American Gospel music icon Kim Burrell.
He has shared stage with notable musicians such as Tasha Cobbs, Kurt Carr, Don Moen, Byron Cage, Tye Tribbett, William Murphy, Kim Burrell, Sinach, Tasha Page-Lockhart, Frank Edwards, Freke Umoh to mention a few.
He has inspired many souls with his song in the Gospel Music Industry.
