The Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly has officially confirmed 20 out of the 27 Commissioner and Special Adviser nominees submitted by Governor Umo Eno.



During Tuesday’s plenary session, Speaker Udeme Otong announced the confirmation, stating that the nominees had undergone screening by the House Committee on Judiciary, Justice, Human Rights, and Public Petitions.

Otong further revealed that the remaining seven nominees are set to be screened and confirmed in the next plenary on February 20. He urged the confirmed appointees to bring value to the State Executive Council and ensure the delivery of democratic dividends to the people of Akwa Ibom.

  2. Dr. Henry Archibong
  3. Mr. Nsikak Ekong
  4. Mrs. Alice Ekpenyong
  5. Mr. Frank Archibong
  6. Capt. Iniobong Ekong (Rtd.)
  7. Mr. Bob Emem
  8. Comrade Ini Ememobong
  9. Dr. Offiong Offor
  10. Mr. Uko Essien Udom
  11. Dr. Nsikak Nkan
  12. Mrs. Emem Ibanga
  13. Mr. Anthony Luke
  14. Mr. Iniobong Robson
  15. Prof. Eno Ibanga
  16. Dr. Emmanuel Ekem
  17. Mrs. Inibehe Etukudo
  18. Dr. Frank Ekpenyong
  19. Dr. Ekanem Ekerete
  20. Dr. Ubong Inyang

Earlier, the Chairman of the Committee, Mr. Aniefiok Attah, while presenting the screening report, affirmed that all confirmed nominees were individuals of proven integrity and fully qualified to serve in the Akwa Ibom State Executive Council. He also noted that no petitions or objections were raised against any of the nominees.
