In a surprising turn of events, the All Progressive Congress (APC) has taken a decisive step by removing Imo State Governor Senator Hope Uzodinma from his role as chairman of the Edo State Governorship Primary Election Committee.

The move follows a crisis that has erupted within the state's party, triggered by the emergence of numerous candidates in the recently concluded primaries overseen by Uzodinma.

The amended list, provided by the party's National Organizing Secretary, H.E Sulaiman Muhammad Argungu, OFR, reveals a significant change in leadership. The committee will now be chaired by the Governor of Cross Rivers state, Bassey Otu, with Alh. Rabiu Suleiman taking on the role of Secretary.

As part of the restructuring, the Party has also announced the appointment of Barr. C. C. Udenwa as the chairman of the Appeals committee. This move is seen as a strategic effort to address the challenges that have arisen from the primary elections and to ensure a fair and transparent resolution to the conflicts within the party.

The shakeup underscores the party's commitment to maintaining order and fairness within its ranks. With new leadership at the helm of the Edo State Governorship Primary Election Committee, all eyes are on the APC as they navigate the aftermath of a tumultuous phase in the party's internal affairs. The coming days will undoubtedly shed light on the impact of these changes and how the APC strives to restore harmony and unity within its Edo State chapter.
