The boy identified as ifesinachi ugwueze a primary school drop out beheaded his mother Mrs Beatrice ugwueze on Friday in isiagu ibakwa in igboeze south local government area of Enugu state.

The woman was cooking and grinding pepper with the local grinder on the said day with the son sitting directly at her back when the boy immediately brought out cutlass and separated the mother's head from her body. The scream from the dying mother alerted the villagers who came and met the boy trying to run away but they caught him and after seriously beating him forced him to drink his mother's blood of which he did too but later died out of the torture. The police later arrived the scene but met two lifeless bodies. Both of them were later deposited to the nearest morgue and investigation is ongoing as to ascertain the cause of the incident.
