The leading Yoruba traditional ruler Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi Ooni of Ile-Ife has shut down the palace in order to curb the spreading of the coronavirus pandemic in the country.
The ever busy centre for tourists in the state of Osun will now be closed for the meantime until the end of the pandemic.
This was made known by the palace Director of Media and Public Affairs, Moses Olafare who said: “The palace is shut and all social and cultural activities have been suspended, only visitors with essential mission will be allowed in.
However, Oni advises Nigerians to maintain high sense of hygienic living in this trying period.
