A bizarre incident involving a missing truck, a driver, and a native doctor has captured attention in Benue State, Nigeria.
The Benue State Police Command recently arrested Veror Orduen, a native doctor, and Aondoaver Viaga, a truck driver, on suspicion of stealing a company vehicle.
The strange sequence of events began on December 11th when the police were alerted to a missing driver and truck belonging to CHEC Construction Company, stationed at the Taraku Camp. Viaga, assigned to transport stones from Ohimini to Mase in Gwer-East Local Government Area (LGA) for a road project, suddenly veered off his planned route and disappeared with the truck.
The investigation took an unexpected twist when authorities located both Viaga and Orduen in possession of the missing truck in Ikyurav, Kwande LGA, far from Viaga's intended destination. Despite being found with the vehicle, Viaga couldn’t offer a reasonable explanation for his actions. He remained silent about why he took the truck to the native doctor’s house for four days and switched off his phone during that time.
This puzzling case continues to unfold, leaving many questions unanswered about the truck’s strange disappearance and the role of the native doctor in the mystery.
