The attack, which took place on Friday night, led to the death of Gyaza, a former Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Teachers (NUT) for Kankia LGA, and his wife. The assailants, after the gruesome killing, abducted another wife of the deceased.

The Katsina State Police Command spokesperson, ASP Abubakar Sadiq Aliyu, when contacted, stated, "I will get back to you," indicating ongoing investigations into the incident.

It will be recalled that several communities are being attacked in Kaduna and other parts of the country on a daily basis.
